Licenses
SAP ByDesign’s complete modules and functionalities are designed for both Product- and Service-centric Businesses, which is why it offers three user levels based on the complexity and the access you desire.
Self-service Users
- This license is for employees who do not use core ERP functionalities but need to access specific modules such as purchasing, travel & expenses, human resources and more. The Self-service User license is divided into four types: Standard, SCM, CRM, and Project Management.
Team Users
- This is the perfect license for those people who need access to only one business area like sales force automation or basic reporting. It is a personalized license based on the role of the user and is classified into three types: CRM, SRM, and Project Management.
Enterprise Users
- Perfect for employees who oversee core functionalities such as HR, financial management, and CRM. This is suitable for organizations that have 10 or more users. It is divided into two types: Standard (which includes all modules except Inventory) and Supply Chain Management.

The following browser settings are applicable to your on-demand solution.
Downloads
- Downloading files should be enabled in your browser since the SAP ondemand solution can export files to your PC. If your browser supports restricting downloads by file type, you should enable at least the XML and CSV file types.
If your browser supports trusted sites, we recommend maintaining the download settings only for the Trusted Sites security zone and adding the following URLs to this zone:
- Your system URL, or alternatively the general pattern to which the URL adheres, such as https://sapbydesign.com
- The pattern https://sap.com
- The popup blocker should either be disabled, or the system URL should be registered as an exceptional site for the popup blocker. The remark about Trusted Sites from the Downloads section applies here as well.
- Advanced Internet Option Settings in Internet Explorer
- If you use Internet Explorer, make the following advanced Internet option settings:
- The browser should be configured to use HTTP 1.1, both for connections in general and for connections through a proxy.
- The user interface of the on-demand solution may react more quickly if you disable the “Do not save encrypted pages to disk” setting.
